Who & What She Teaches

Jennifer teaches all ages from preschool to adults.

jenElliPrivate and class lessons emphasize building complete musicianship. They combine singing, piano, note-reading, theory, ear training, technique, improvisation, solfege singing, composition, chording, and performance skills.

Jennifer keeps music learning challenging and fun, and often employs activities off the piano bench.

Space in Private and Semi-Private Lesson openings are very limited. Students are strongly encouraged to enroll in one of Jennifer’s peer-motivating group classes as their first option.

To read more about the awesome group classes Jennifer offers please see the group piano lesson page.

Jennifer encourages parents to attend all lessons for children ages 4-8.  Parents are the most influential in a child’s life, and for any young person to rehearse effectively at home, the parents must be equipped to aid them. She is committed to assisting parents in learning alongside their children as much as possible.

When a parent is able to learn with the child, everyone benefits. Often a parent gets a “second chance” to resume their own musical study or learn for the first time alongside their child. Having parents present at the lessons is a win-win for everyone.

Performances

There will be both Fall and Spring Recital Performance opportunities.
